I think I would too. I bawled like a baby at Ground Zero, & there was nothing there when we went.

The memorial wasn't up when I was in NYC last. But given that I used to live 4 blocks from the Towers, you can be sure I'll make it there in the near future. And bawl like a baby.

I was back there November 2001 and it was devistating. I'd managed to hold it together though, until I saw a messenger bike chained to a lightpost right on the outer section of what was blocked off. And realized it was covered in dust from the collapse. Which meant the messenger never came out to get his bike. That little touch was what finally set me off and my sister had to hold me up, I was crying so hard. :(

(I realize my post makes it look like I haven't been back home since 2001. I've actually been back there twice a year, every year. When I was home over the holidays this last year, the memorial was still not up yet.)
