My father and his wife are on their way home from Hilo, Hawaii. I saw these and thought of them. *ponders* Actually by the time this is posted, they'll be home. Anyhow, I love the rich color of this plant... not that I know the name of it.
Speaking of plants, I saw these and thought... I want it! Now to figure out what the name of it is and talk my gardener and hubs in to getting it for me.

That's a gorgeous red in that first plant... and the second looks nice too.. don't know the names for either one tho.
The red plant is a bromeliad called: Guzmania; I think the grass is fountain grass...
