Day 30

On my drive home there is a certain stop light that I almost always catch a red at. If you remember ten days ago (May 19th) I took pictures at night, one of them was from that stop light. Today as I sat at that same stop light I chuckled. When the sun is up, its not even remotely as impressive.

I had to go downtown today. Greer building is across the street from the capitol. Unfortunately from where I was parked, the trees were in the way of the whole building, so I simply zoomed in to the top portion.

I forgot to post this last night. Anyhow, yesterday on my way to work, it was overcast and getting darker. The sky was threatening rain. When off to my left the sun dared peek out one last time before the clouds opened up.

Today the rain took a break. It was a beautiful day. Absolutely sunny and bright... how does that impact my family? The gaming family? The nerd family? Uh.. it doesn't. Today is like any other day. See? My kids doing what they do every weekend.

Early on in this project, I posted Peanut's new shoes. One pair was specifically for 'the' dress for her banquet.

Day 21

I was at work rather late tonight. Yes again. This time only to 7:30 not 9pm. Anyhow, I was pulling my purse out of my drawer and grabbing my keys, you know. The usual things one does before leaving the office each night: restart the computer, straighten the desk, prioritize things for the next day, leave nothing out that is confidential, grab your stuff and get the frell out. Only tonight I realized, I can't put things away, there is too much to prioritize, thankfully none of it is confidential but still. My desk is a nightmare! This is what happens when you go on vacation for a week. I've stayed late almost every day to get my desk back. I think I've finally made a dent.


Everything on the left is to be filed, everything on the right is either data input or expense reports. *cringes* ah well... job security.

I was at work rather late tonight. Ya, don't ask. Anyhow, I thought, "ooo... a night sky" and it looked cool... so I thought, lets see how my camera handles this.



Interesting... that was the camera propped on my shoulder while moving... this one I stopped at a red light. I love my camera!

Traditionally when I go on vacation, I read. A lot. Not just on the plane, but in the hotel room or by the pool or whenever we aren't doing something else.. this past trip I made it through both Twilight and New Moon so when I got home, Peanut handed me book three; Eclipse.

From May 10 - 13 Robbie and I went to New York. I had no access to a computer so I had to wait until we got home to update. Anyhow, while on the ferry at Ellis Island, Robbie looked up and asked if I saw what he saw.. yup. I did. It was beautiful.

My father and his wife are on their way home from Hilo, Hawaii. I saw these and thought of them. *ponders* Actually by the time this is posted, they'll be home. Anyhow, I love the rich color of this plant... not that I know the name of it.



Speaking of plants, I saw these and thought... I want it! Now to figure out what the name of it is and talk my gardener and hubs in to getting it for me.

Day 7

In the office, it stays cold year round. I have been known to wear long sleeve shirts and/or a sweater year round. Today is no exception. Usually it takes about 15-25 minutes in my car with no AC to warm me up and then I can deal with cooling off the car. Today it took less than 10 minutes... so I had to look at my car thermometer.. I'm sorry but its much too early in the year for this. Its the beginning of May for cripes sakes!

Day 6


Many that will look at this blog know me.. what you may not know is that I am a very sentimental person. Places along with sounds and scents remind me of people. Starbucks is one of these places.
Every other Saturday I used to meet my sister at Starbucks. During my vacation to Michigan a group of us hung out and enjoyed Starbucks. It is associated with people I love and care for.
So this morning when my day started off bad.. very 'grrr'. Getting cut off, traffic jam, just all around not pleasant people. I had to go to the one place I knew would put me in a better frame of mind.

It's Monday. Every Monday is the same thing. Take Peanut to school, take the boy to work, go to work. Work. Pick up boy and on the way home we stop at Chipotle. They know us here. All I have to do is say, 3 large quesadillas and they take it from there.

Day 4



I mentioned before that I am a creature of habit, how I don't go any where, how I don't 'do' much of anything. How I had no idea what I'm going to photograph daily and how this is going to be such a challenge... Well take a look. Yup, our Sundays are usually spent this way. This is why my hubs and I get along so well. He plays WoW all day. I play.. well... whatever I feel like playing. Today it was The Sims 2.

Day 3



Today was mother/daughter day... okay for some that's every day.. for me and Peanut it's a special day that we go out and shop, eat and hang out together.
She needed 2 things... tennis shoes and a banquet dress... naturally if you get a banquet dress, you need new shoes.. now the perfect shot would have been the pure joy on my daughter's face when she came out of the dressing room as we found 'the' dress.. and she twirled! Ah, but I didn't have the camera out. My bad..
Instead I'm showing off her new shoes.. they represent the two extremes that are my daughter. The kid that runs around and is just an all around goof and the princess that looked at her feet and said, "These are great, Mommy... I need a pedicure."


I'm adding this one for my daughter. It was the highlight of our day. We went to Mimi's Cafe. This is their.. erm.. ensemble dessert? something like that... As she looked down at this dessert, she grinned.. then looked at me and thanked me for a great day. It took everything I had not to cry. I love that kid of mine.

Day 2



All day I had been racking my brain trying to think of what I could photograph. I looked at the glass beside me.. saw it half full/half empty... thought I need to fill it, its half empty... which is ironic since I'm usually such an optimist...
On my drive home I noticed things that hadn't caught my eye before and many that I have seen a dozen times over the past three years which I kept asking myself, would that be what I want to represent today?
Then by chance, I glanced over my left shoulder... okay I was about to change lanes.. anyhow this is what I saw.. I had to grab my camera, steady it on my shoulder and hope like heck I got the shot.
Today is my little sister's birthday... I wanted something beautiful to share.. something special.. or at least special to me. Twilight is my favorite time of day... its the witching hour.
